How to change the keyboard language on a Chromebook
Hello there!
If you have a Chromebook that types weird characters or the wrong one when you are typing, chances are your keyboard has been set to a language that is the the “US” Qwerty keyboard language. See below for changing it back to normal:
1. Select the time in the bottom right of the screen
2. Select Settings
3. Select Keyboard under Device
4. Select the keyboard languages you want to use under Input methods
5. Select Add
6. Select the keyboard you want to use
You can alternatively use a keyboard hotkey shortcut.
1. You can hold down Ctrl+Shft and press on space. This will rotate through the languages which will show a little box on the bottom left of the screen. You want the “US” one to show up.
Hope this guide helps!
