My Display Won't Show Up on my Classroom TV

Hello there!

These possible solutions are for the staff member who has connected their device to their docking station with a connected television that is powered and on but not getting a signal on that TV.

Please try these steps:

1. Make sure your TV's Input is set to the input that the HDMI cable that is plugged into the back of the TV is. Veryfy that it matches the input you selected on the TV. i.e. “HDMI 1” to port labeled “HDMI1” on the TV.

2. Make sure all cords are plugged into the appropriate slots. These include: HDMI Cables at the docking station and the TV, Power Cable for the docking station, USB-C cable for the device etc.

3. Power cycle your device. Turn it off and on again, all the way, a full restart. Also, turn the TV off and on.

4. Power cycle your docking station. By this we mean: unplug the power from the docking station and any other cable attached to it, wait 30 seconds, then plug everything back into the docking station, reserving the power cord for last. Then plug in your device and try again.

5. Display settings: Make sure that the Refresh Rates on your display settings are set to thighest that they can be. (i.e. 60hz for the TV's). Also see that your resolution is set to 1920x1080 for the TV in the Display Settings of your device.

If you have tried all of the above, please reach out to IT for assistance and further help.
